Approach notes

Park at the Bettridge Centre in Newtonhill. As for Yellow crag, From the field above Yellow  continue along the fence line south which eventually turns west towards the railway bridge and Muchalls. Part way along here a strainer post with a stile block indicates where to cross the fence. Contince south around the gorse to locate and descend a steep grass chute usually via an in situ rope to a saddle on the headland. Continue down the grass slope south head left through the
rock arch to below the walls.
