Approach notes

From the Tŷ Nant car park, walk 900m back down the road towards Dolgellau to the Llyn Gwernan Hotel. Opposite there is a small metal gate that gives access to the hillside. Steeply follow the public footpath for 1.7km until reaching Llyn Gafr. Turn left and continue uphill, a vague access track follows the hillside towards a large triangular standing stone next to a fence, the boulders can be seen beyond this.
