A few South-facing slabs within the Torridge estuary. Pocketed and edge-based climbing, mostly in the lower grades, with the possibility for a few fun eliminates. A pleasant walk leads to a lovely bouldering spot to relax on a sunny day. Sheltered from westernly winds too!
Park at the end of Windmill Lane (disappointingly no windmills), follow gravel track (east) past farm land and into trees until you see the estuary, head right (south) until you see an obvious way down by an oak tree and a bench (///glorious.huddling.champions or SS458 286). Follow this path down through the trees/holly & gorse until you can cautiously make your way down the final ridge to the 'beach'. bouldering area - ///tonality.replace.musically or SS458 286
Moderately tidal, anything below a 6m tide should be fine. or mid to low (if you don't want to check tide heights.
