Limestone
The climbs are on the left wall of the pool.
The pool is tidal. When the swell comes in, it can cause strong currents. The climbs start from floating in the pool, so you can't really use shoes or chalk.
The limestone is pitted, or rather scalloped and is generally quite sharp. Most footholds are smooth pockets. The handholds are largely flakes, pinches or crimps.
The pool is generally about chest or shoulder deep, and should be safe to fall into even higher up the climbs.
Top-out is straightforward - the rock gives way to grass for about a metre before a sandy path. Turn left to come back down.
