Helm crag emerging from early morning mist. This was a magical morning after two weeks of solid lakes rain! © r_o_b_h2
Routes up to 25m. Good evening crag. Best routes - Beacon Rib(E1), Beacon Crack(HS), Flarepath Direct(E1), Flarepath(VS), Rainbow(HVS).
By car: Park in Grasmere and walk along Easedale Road and up to crag (30 mins). The car park described in the guide book is no longer there.
|Easiest access to crag is follow Helm Crag path up hillside a few yards until you get to a big cairn where you fork off left.
Great routes but gear is well spaced so expect to be sand bagged!|

|As said above - a good evening crag. Quite slatey in its lower reaches but lovely, rough rock from mid-hieght upwards. Beautiful outlook, peaceful and a few cracking routes; worth a visit.|
