Part of Fiordland National Park. Mainly diorite with some areas of granite. 

Good topo here.

This is the major alpine rock climbing destination of the South Island. A new guide has recently been published by the NZAC. It details sport crags to rarely visited huge walls in deepest dampest fiordland. The main climbing season begins in February.
