From the summit of Honister Pass, climb Fleetwith Pike and descend to the crag - about 45 minutes.
Honnister Crag is loacted on land mapped as Open Access under CRoW. This gives the public a legal right to access the crag for climbing. The quarry owners have asked if climbers could let their staff in the visitor centre know before heading to the crag.
If you experiance any access issues here, please contact the BMC Access & Conservation officer as soon as possible.
Reason: Nesting Birds
Peregrines have nested on this crag in the past but have not used it recently. Please be aware of this and report any sightings of nesting peregrines to the BMC Access Officer.
There is a route named Ozymandias starts between The Comet and Hypospace. As good as Hypospace and also about E3 Paul Ross - 25/Nov/06 |

Did Honister Wall a few years ago. It felt quite serious at only VS due to the hanging flakes and vertical formation of the rock and a little difficult to protect on one of the pitches. The steep scree was quite unstable at that time. Worth a visit but only for a handful of worthwhile climbs ( compared to other local crags)On the plus side, short walk in and exposed feel to the rock due to its impressive position above the pass.
