Crag features

Quarried.

Insanely grippy Limestone, lots of low grade problems with loads for even little kids..Some highball stuff too.

Landings mixed from good to rocky..

Even on still days it's blumin' windy. Wind direction is usually into the crag so you don't get much shelter 'Bouldering beanie' and down jacket a must!

Lots of litter..:(

Approach notes

The Crag is exactly opposite the banger racing track at High Edge Raceway and there lots of open areas to park responsibly. The fence around the crag is in poor repair but don't be tempted to climb over it, there's a style if you continue a couple of hundred yards past the crag with it on your right.

Volunteer to moderate High Edge Buxton
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local crags. You would check updates and approve climbs added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. [ read more ]
