A great 7a+ roof problem in the charming granite boulderfield of Orlu in the Ariège © chez Arran
Located to the west of the village of Orlu is a beautiful granite bouldering area.
It is good to have a spotter or a companion to watch out for bears!
500m past the village of Orlu (travelling from Ax) a bridge over the river leads to a car park / picnic area.
Walk east back towards the village (on the opposing side of the river) and the first of the bouders will come into sight at the first river bend. From here follow the trail up the hill and into the woods.
Although very tempting, do not camp at the picnic/parking area. There is a campsite at the other end of the Orlu village.
