Les Gorges d'Heric is a beautiful gorge which is very popular in the summer as a wild swimming venue. There is masses of climbing here including plenty of big long trad multi-pitches on the huge red walls. Also some bolted single pitch routes closer to the path including a good selection of easier routes.
Take the signposted road for Mons off the D908 heading southwest out of Bedarieux (good sport climbing on the red rock in Bedarieux incidentally, there is a guidebook).
Take signs for the Gorges d'Heric from Mons and park in the big warden controlled (pay - €3/day in 2018) carpark. The walk up to the Gorges is obvious on the drive in (the left fork where the carpark road forks right).
