Crag features

Spectacular climbing, set in some of the grandest mountain scenery in Wales; slab-routes galore at every grade. Mainly multi-pitch routes to 160 metres. Must dos for visitors include "Tennis Shoe" (HS), "Suicide Wall Route 1" (E2) and "Hope" (VDiff), all multi-starred classics. Beware of falling sheep.

Grades as per the 2010 CC Ogwen guide.

Approach notes

20 to 25 minutes walk along the trail from Ogwen Cottage.

Thanks to the guys who helped me out at Idwal yesterday (19/05/08) when I fell off. I took a big fall of the top of the first pitch of tennis shoe and landed in a nice soft muddy bog at the bottom of the route! The fella who got my gear back down asked me to post on here to let him know how I was doing which is ok, sprained ankle and a few cuts and bruises!
