One of Jasper's most popular and developed crags with climbs ranging from 5.7 to 5.12. A mixture of sport and traditional routes. The crag is west-facing and typically dries quickly in good sun, it can seep after heavy rain.
From Jasper: Drive south down Highway 93 and turn right onto 93A just past the park gate. Follow this road for 19km and park in a small layby on the right. The layby is covered by trees and is no bigger than two parking spaces - it is easy to miss!
From Banff: Follow the Trans-Canada Highway to the exit for Highway 93 (Icefields Parkway). Follow Highway 93 north for 255km. Turn left at Athabasca Falls onto Highway 93A and continue for 5.6km. The small layby will be on the left, 600m past Leach Lake.
Approach: (2km, 30 mins)
There is only one path leading into the forest from the layby. Follow it for 25 -30 minutes until the cliffs begin to form on the left.
