Crag features
This interesting sandstone crag takes its name from its parent hill which lies about 3km south of the village of Corrie and about 1km from the coast road. It faces due north and the cleanest rock lies nearest to the sea. Elsewhere the rock is fairly heavily vegetated. The most obvious feature on the crag is a deep-cut chimney (The Chimney).
Approach notes
The recorded climbs are interesting and worth doing, although direct access to the crag can only be described as horrendous. The original heather, boulders and bracken being supplemented by a nasty coniferous plantation! The best route is to take the Goatfell path past High Corrie and to contour south once above the trees.'
