Crag features

Hall Moor Quarry lies in a sycamore forest now seemingly intent on taking it back. A thick layer of brambles almost cover the quarry floor under which lies an uneven surface of large and wobbly stone blocks.

However, a number of esoteric routes have been established here and more recently some hard test pieces have been added.

Approach notes

From the A6 at Darley Dale follow the B5057 (signposted Two Dales) and take the secong left (Park Lane then Hall Moor Road). Continue up the hill into trees. Park at a small Water Board building labelled Bent Lane. Walk back and follow a track (blocked by iron bar) on the left for 500m.
