The Achfary block, also known as Hambo's Roof, is a decent single block of bullet schist, visible from the road when driving east from the NC500. Holds tend to be vertical rails which leads to interesting climbing.
Great views looking west to Ben Stack.
Scotlands hardest road side approach......
Park in the layby at W3W ///secure.evoke.bleaker on the A838 around 2.6 miles east of Achfary.
Quest uphill through 50m of high density tick territory, aiming for the large fence post, scale a 6ft deer fence, then briefly enjoy the sanctuary of the tick free zone, before embarking upon 100m of tussock battling. Gaiters and tarps recommended!
