Block G problem 1 © fran04

Crag features

A major new bouldering venue featuring over 20 problems mainly in the lower grades up to v4.With generally good flat landings on virgin rock and under a 5 minute walk-in this venue should prove to be quite popular.

A few hard lines/problems remain to be done...the big roof and a featureless face also anything that has a bad landing.

Approach notes

From the village of Tal-y-bont take the road next to the Bedol pub all the way up to the "Roman road"(dead-end) below Tal-y-fan where there is parking for approx 8/10 cars.Head back down the lane 500 metres or across field and the boulders are down on the right under the pylons.

Quite a nice venue for an easy afternoon. Everything close together and a couple of nice problems. Rock probably sees no traffic so is very gritty, crumbly and lots of lichen. I'd

Night quite a 'major' new venue but there's a surprising amount here really. I added a few more problems up the hill on the other side of the road. All in all a pleasant afternoon out
