A good route that attempts to follow the crest of the pillar. It is less popular than the others. The pitches are generally quite short and some can be run together.
Descent - There is a prepared abseil line to the left (looking out) of the route - six abseils of c35m - but it is tricky to follow. Abseiling as for Pilier du Levant is a better option. © Rockfax

βeta: 8 Pitches! If you follow the local guidebook it does not top out on the final 'pilier'. However, if you've made the effort to get up there you may as well! Descent as advised in 2017 Ailefroide Climbs, tricky and hard to follow. Rap as for Pilier du Levant. | βeta? | |
