One wall with well-featured walls, tufas and grooves. Compact white rock, most pitches between 20 & 30m. Some very sharp holds.
A second sector - a bit of a cave at the farthest end of the crag gives the 8s.
It is probably a good summer crag & is a bit cool in December - quite exposed to a westerly wind.
Most routes have the names written at the base of the route.
"Projects" are either where I had no information about the grade or they are still a project.
Most of the equipping & first ascents are the work of Ivan Hernandez - many thanks to him.
From Tarbenna, head towards Castell de Castells. At km7, there is a dirt road leading off to the left with a signboard. Drive along this road for ~ 3 km. There is a turn to the right that is marked for walking to Els Arcs. Continue for another 0.5 km or so & there is space for a couple of cars on a hairpin. Alterntively, park in one of the avaible spaces further down the road and walk. Follow a track heading westwards from here - this leads above Els Arcs and after about 15 minutes arrives at the LH side of the crag.
In early May 2022 an agreement has been reached that allows climbing again at Aixorta. Some routes have been stripped and there is a commitment not to bolt any further routes. Thanks to all those involved in the negotiations.
