Main access is via the stile in the lay-by on Low Lane/Merrybank Lane. Approach alongside the drystone wall. DO NOT CUT DIRECTLY ACROSS THE FIELD OR WALK ON TOP OF THE WALL.
Please DO NOT CLIMB HERE AT NIGHT.
The use of DRONES is prohibited.
Access to Almscliff is a privilege, not a right. The crag is on privately owned land and is not designated as open access. This means that it's very important that climbers look after the crag and behave well to maintain a good relationship with the farmer and the currently excellent access we enjoy.
The farmer who owns Almscliff does not want the crag to be used at nightime for a lamping venue and continued daytime access relies on climbers respecting his wishes. For advice on how to pick an appropriate alternative venue for lantern sessions and minimise your impact, read this article
