Anafon Uchaf - A remote gem up on the North side of the Carneddau. Very quiet but a bit of a walk in! Quick drying and climbable all year but best in warm conditions as the altitude keeps it cool.
At Aber Falls car park, turn left over the bridge and drive up the road to a small gravel car park at the end. Walk up the hill to the track for Llyn Anafon and follow this for 45+ minutes until you reach the lake, and thus the boulders. Llwytmor Shard is a further 10 minute walk across the spillway and following sheep tracks up to the grassy plateau above the North end of the lake, the blocks should be easily visible a little further up the hill.
