Climbing at Los Arenales, Argentina © Rob15

Crag features

Single and multipitch climbing. Trad and sport on red granite spires with incredible views into the Andes.

Approach notes

From Mendoza: Bus to Tunuyan. Then weekly (Sat/Sun) bus to El Manzano Historico. Taxi to 19km up the valley past the Refugio Portinari to unmanned Refugio Cajon de Los Arenales - 20min walk from road.

A Brazilian climber, Felipe, who speaks perfect English is in the process of setting up a refugio in Manzano Historical. He is hoping it will be open in time for the summer (December 2015)...
