Altitude 319m a.s.l
A collection of rocks scattered through Ausewell Woods. The only documented climbing is located on the formation known as Hazel Tor.
Park discreetly to one side of a gateway. From here, bear slightly left and walk 100m up a track. Turn left onto another track which curves initially, then runs straight up to the hill. The rocks rise mysteriously out of the conifers at the head of the track.
The woodland is privately owned and there is no formal right of access. Be polite if challenged and leave if asked to do so. Avoid weekday daytimes where forestry work might be in progress and don't risk future access by blocking gates, creating a fire risk etc.
