Crag features
Short Limestone slabs, with some overlaps. Well bolted (perhaps over bolted in a few peoples eyes). The rock surface is a bit dirty currently but will tidy up with more traffic.
Approach notes
You can park pretty much next the crag, but don't as that will draw unnessary attention to the climbing. Instead park close to Waitrose or even better use their car park. Head into the newish housing estate, to the childrens play area and go down the bank behind it.
Access Advice
As it is close to housing, care is required to avoid winding up the locals, this includes care with parking.
No dogs due to proximity of the childrens play area.
Aug 2023 We chatted to the man who arranged the installation of the fence next to Mr Rusty, he said he was the warden. He told us it was nice seeing climbers and he used to watch people on suspension bridge buttress. Apparently they used to get commercial groups further into the quarry, but it's just too loose to be safe. Although I imagine it's only nice seeing climbers if they're nice!
