The most popular crag near the state capital (Porto Alegre) featuring routes on hard sandstone from 5a all the way to 8a. Development started in the 90s thanks to Brazilian climbing pioneers Naoki Arima, Daiti Hamanaka and Leandro Feiten.
A 50m rope is necessary for the longest routes.
From the BR-116 towards Novo Hamburgo/Ivoti, exit to the Colonia Japonesa at around 226km, then follow road signs to the Behne campsite. There is a steep dirt road as you get closer to the campsite entrance.
There is an entry fee as the crags are part of the Behne campsite (private property).
