βeta: I'm sorry this has upset you. Try and see another perspective: this wall is f3 and you can climb it with or without the flake. I don't think it's necessary to have the eliminate version (the big flake is reachable from the wall to the right) listed as a separate problem. It's just not distinct enough or noteworthy for another reason (e.g. difficulty, quality line/feature, historical value). The description mentions the options and if you've done a variation you can still log the climb multiple times and just write that in the "your notes" box. I do this all the time. This way can get your "tick" and it doesn't clog up / water down the crag page with almost limitless variations that are possible on every climb. No information is lost & everyone is happy! Don't forget that in climbing you always have the freedom to do what you want, whether or not it's explicitly listed as a UKC logbook entry. | βeta?

βeta: I read an article on UKC about a man who climbed 1000 boulder problems in one year ! Won’t happen in Devon because the moderator chooses to group three distinctly different lines as one ! Here for example he combines a line on the left flake or the right flake or indeed between the two using neither . I have climbed all three and they are different challenges albeit at a low grade yet due to over zealous moderating we get one tick and not three ! UKC please sort this out | βeta?
