An unfairly neglected crag, which has been recently cleaned and further developed by Ian Rea in 2020. There are some excellent routes across the whole crag with The Rainbow, Plus Gas, High Lonesome, Lifeline, Diploma and Vertebrae being particularly good at amenable grades. With a walk in shorter than Lower Cove this crag should get more traffic. There is insitu abseil station above The Rainbow (sometimes buried in grass) and from the far right side of crag there is a knotted rope for hand over hand descent. The crag does take longer to dry than most others but in the summer with 2 or 3 dry days the routes will all be in good condition. Pleasant SE aspect means it gets the sun until around midday. Allow 1 hour to walk in along Carrick Little Track.
