Rockfax Description
300m. The original route up the North Buttress and the second on the Buachaille. A quote from an account of the first ascent has a strangely familiar ring to it. “It was a
disgusting morning. The rain was falling dismally, and the whole mountain was concealed in mist”. Start in the centre of the face beneath an obvious chimney-line. Climb the chimney-crack for a short section and then avoid its continuation by taking an obvious break out right. Continue up, taking the line of least resistance to the top. There is much scope for variation. The upper reaches of the chimney-line are loose and best avoided in summer. © Rockfax
