Altitude 235m a.s.l
Valley supporting a variety of limestone crags. Mostly north facing. This is the west coast so access can be wet and muddy, often you have to cross creek beds which can be high after rain, It is a great venue for adventure.
Developed initially in 1985-86 with Hanging garden, with intermittent episodes of intrepid devlopment since. The most recent was in 2014/15 where sport NZ grant gave funding for a lot more development and Paradise crag was developed.
2km north of Punakaiki turn right (east) onto Bullock Creek Road. The climbing is on the southern side of the valley on the other side of the creek bed from the road. Parking for individual areas from road start is - Machu Pichu 1.8km, Paradise 1.95km, Believe 3.2km, Arboretum 4.5km, Hanging garden 5km
