A justifiably popular climbing venue located a kilometre south-east of St. David's where the popular beach can be accessed by a steep path from the cliff-top car park. On the beach there is a minor crag with 3 routes and some bouldering while the headland to the east has 2 excellent slabs with a good range of quality climbs.
Caerfai is clearly signposted from St. David's; follow the road south from the visitor centre. Approach from Caerfai Beach car park in 5-10 mins.
Beware the scramble descent when the grass is damp - it becomes very slippery. A slip on the grass at the start of the descent would not be pretty. broc - 12/Sep/18 |
