βeta: Despite leading VS in recent weeks we failed to manage pitch 2 on 10 April 2025 as the move from the flake onto the face appeared very committing and not V Diff territory and the only gear available would cause horrendous rope drag due to belay at top of pitch 1 being 20+ feet horizontally right of first gear placement. Has something broken off top of flake? We abseiled off the rock just below belay at top of pitch 1 where there were already 2 abseil slings (now 3). If trying again I would combine pitches 1 and 2 to make better use of available gear placements and reduce rope drag. | βeta? | |
