Cave Dale and Peveril Castle, Castleton, Peak District © Michael Ryan
A minor climbing venue in a small valley running approximately north-south, with routes up to 20m long on both sides of the valley. A bit on the loose side. A tourist honey spot makes a midweek vist favourite. Routes of interest; Dargai crack (VS 4b)- climbed in 1898, and Southern Accents (E6 6c).
From Castleton follow the signs!
Thought I'd point out that Cave Dale isn't actually in the Peak District Bouldering guide. Any idea where info on the other 53 routes and any route descriptions are, as I can't imagine I'll find the old stoney guide easily. franhammond92 - 01/Sep/14 |
