At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving. Please proceed with caution though.

Attemptng a 7c at Chanteloube in the Hautes-Alpes © 98%monkey

Crag features

"Un secteur d'initiation tres patine". Popular with groups but only 30 seconds from the car so good if raining on the higher crags.

All routes range from 10 - 15m, single pitch. VERY polished in some places on the easier routes. Nice climbing.

Bring a picnic and the kids.

Approach notes

Find this crag on the road above the airstrip at St Crepin. Car parking just past Chanteloube Village.

Guidebooks

As of May 2014 routes 1,2 and 3 have been stripped of their protection, I will try to get this restored in the next couple of weeks.
