The Chapel Stile circuit is the area of small craglets, both natural and quarried, situated on the fell side above Chapel Stile in Langdale. The area has long been used by local climbers but the ‘Circuit’ has always been something of a mystery - difficult to describe and not obvious. Most people just visit ‘Rough Wall’ but as you will discover there is a wealth of excellent bouldering here and plenty of scope for development on the easy walls and slabs strewn across the pleasant hillside.
Park anywhere in Chapel Stile that is not blocking an entrance and is not at the Co-op. Head up to the Church and go up some steps to its right. Go through a gate and head right past a house on the left and head up the hillside to a path.
