Rockfax Description
This classic route tackles the front of the nose of this ridge in a series of pleasant pitches. The route starts at the base of the rock nose, down and left of the main crag. It should be noted that this is a rock climb and requires knowledge of belay construction and multi-pitch techniques. The belays on this route are not always straightforward.
1) 25m. Climb directly up the low-angled slabs of clean rock.
2) 20m. Continue up the slab as it steepens, then trend diagonally right to a belay at the base of a shallow groove.
3) 15m. Climb diagonally rightwards, following a faint crack-line, to reach a large ledge above the gully on the right.
4) 15m. Easy ground leads to the summit of the nose. A descent can be made in the gully on the right (Western Gully), or join the scramble along the ridge of Clogwyn y Person Arete for a full day out. © Rockfax
