Crag features

The quarry has lots of bouldering potential in the surounding area. Don't expect lots of gear placements on the routes that are in this quarry, and a small slection of the routes are done by soloing so don't forget the crash mat

Approach notes

Bolting anywhere at this venue is completely unacceptable, please refrain.

No access restrictions are in place, the quarry is a good 20 minute walk for the White house pub car park.

Someone has decided to add three bolts to the top of the slabs. Recent enough that the detritus from drilling is still there.

There's an amazing panoramic photo of this area on http://www.cragmaps.co.uk/cows-mouth-quarry well worth a look. Thanks to whoever made this site!

Been to Summit Quarry in the valley and though we'd come here. The climbing is fantastic but very bold, recommend bringing a pad and a selection of micro cams (lots) and small wires. The slabby area is very grippy with some superb climbing while the steep area's are just as good. The upper part Z-crack is a little dirty so i recommend a clean before you attempt it in future. Definitly need to come again and well worth a visit, dries rapidly too.
