βeta: Adventurous outing. Knee took a hit from a cactus. Glad to be on second as the route definitely seemed more difficult than HS. | βeta?

βeta: Pretty understated in the guide book. A mixed bag of good moves on P3 & P4 mixed in with large sections of extremely poor rock, large run outs and physiological placements throughout. A more accurate description would be: XS(4b) 180m - VS climbing with large run outs onto rubbish gear. P1: 45m - The pitch itself is decent but gear is poor. Belay at a crack after a short steep wall. P2: 45m - Chossy and run out before gaining the off width crack. Belay in crack. P3: 30m - Best pitch of the route. Climb off width crack and cut out left onto face. Nice moves before arriving at belay on small stance. P4: 60m - Nice lay backing moves to gain varnished rock. Send half of pitch is run out on chossy rock. 60m ropes get you to the very top. Descent: gain the summit and ab of block just shortly afterwards. Descend Lions Gully requiring lots of boulder scrambling and two abseils - this takes a number of hours. | βeta?
