Crag features

Home to the first "fully" equip sport route in the Mournes, the quarry has seen spordiac periods of developement over the years. It currently hosts a number of easier routes on a long slabby wall with a few harder offerings on the steeper, but quite often wetter faces.

Approach notes

The most convient approach invloves parking in the bloody bridge carpark and following the main bloody bridge track into the mountains. After crossing the main river the path follows a number of switch back turns and the quarry comes into sight. The path leads straight into the quarry. Allow an approach time of around 50mins.

Access Advice

Formal access has never been sought, should you be asked to move on please do so. The approach crosses through open mountain terrain which is actively hill farmed and is a senstive upland habitat. Please keep dogs on a lead, be mindful of livestock and follow leave no trace principals.
