Climbs 196
Rocktype UNKNOWN
Altitude 468m a.s.l
Scattered range of boulders, set in the middle of imposing mountains.
Hannibal Boulder: park the car here, the boulder is located in the bush just a few meters from the road.
Massi Della Luna - Take via Volpe, continue for about 700m past the La Piccola rock crag until you reach a left bend near a bridge over a stream with a small clearing on the right. The boulders can be reached on foot by entering the woods to the right of the parking lot on the path; after about fifty meters cross the stream on the left and begin to climb (signs on the rocks) reaching Boulder A in a few minutes. The remaining boulders are relatively close to each other and easily accessible. N.B.: in the report each boulder was named NAME (MDL-letter) where MDL stands for Massi Della Luna and the letter A, B, C, D etc. is marked on the boulder.
Continuing on the main road instead, you reach the remaining boulders in the area:
Cecchino Boulder - 300m after the aforementioned crossroads, on the left there is a widening with a bus stop; follow the path behind the widening which soon forks: the right fork (uphill) leads to the rock in 5 minutes, on the left (crossing the stream).
Dragonfly Boulder 10 - There are two ways to reach this boulder. The first consists of going up a small path that starts behind the Hannibal boulder (in 10 minutes). The second, easier, consists of continuing by car for 700m after the aforementioned crossroads until you reach a private road on the left; park here and take a small path on the right that takes you to your destination in less than 2 minutes.
Killer Boulder - 900m after the aforementioned crossroads, on a curve, evident from the road.
Alpestre and Alpine Boulder - Follow the stream behind the Masso Killer, reaching the boulder in a few minutes.
No access issues but respect the area as always.
