Rockfax Description
120m. A brilliant exercise in bold sustained climbing following the crag's major feature: the leftwards curving corner. Start from the rowan tree.
1. 25m 6a Climb up and left on dark, slatey rock to a small footledge. Traverse left and either step down and climb to a good hold and protection, or go straight left to the same position. Continue more steeply until an exposed left traverse leads to a ledge at the base of a prominent open groove.
2. 15m 5c Climb the groove above, initially by the rib on the left and follow it to its natural conclusion to a ledge and belay on Carnivore. Protection is sparse.
3. 30m 6a Move left, then up a short wall to a ledge below a small overhang. Pass the overhang on the left then climb a short groove to another small overhang (protection and poor rest on the right). Traverse hard left below the overhang then continue directly up a shallow groove to a ledge.
4. 50m 4c Unless an abseil descent is preferred after the third pitch, finish in the same line to the ledges at the top.
