A good area for mid-grade cragging in a beautiful and tranquil setting 2 minutes from the road. Dig a little deeper and you'll also discover some less conventional gems tucked into the steeper nooks. The area includes a number of different buttresses, and includes trad, sport and DWS routes.
Continue along the Marine Drive from Pen Trwyn, past the summit turn-off, and park near Hamburger Buttress. For a toll-free approach, drive the summit road, turn right after the mid-way tramstation and follow the road down to Marine Drive. From the junction with Marine Drive, drive one-third of a mile until Hamburger Buttress appears on the left, opposite a gateway in the wall. Park by the gate, making sure you leave room for the tour bus to get past.
Short walk in, clean rock, well bolted. The only downside is the climbing. stp - 05/Aug/18 |

Wonder Wall is now (June 2013) fully bird restricted and after a visit there yesterday I can see why - the place stinks and has nests and eggs strewn across the crag. ksjs - 10/Jun/13 |
