Can Baba sector of Datça © Eduardo Martinez

Crag features

Great set of crags with various styles of routes and orientations.. Loads of tufas. Some routes are over 50m in length.

Downloadable topo here and there is Guidebook available (see tab above)

Credit to Olivier for starting this page with an A4 paper guide including handwritten notes (then someone uploaded a file of routes later.....)

Don't leave banana skins, orange peel, used finger tape or any other litter, however small.  Someone else has to pick it up after you.

Don't pee under the caves, always choose a place where the rain will reach.

Approach notes

This info could be out of date.....

From the track that runs under the Indian Man (see map), an obvious path that starts at a cairn takes you over the dry river bed and up to the Uzakzürafa sector.  20 mins.  Rightward from here is the big cave of Can Baba and further right again and down takes you to the sector of Ejderha.  Going leftward after the path hits the crag will take you to the sectors Shaman, Papinosaure and Nastrolopitheque in that order.  On the other side of the track where you park, sector Çocuklar can be found, again marked with a cairn at the start.

Driving further up the track will take you to the sectors Domuzbükü, Karain, and Sucuk.   Domuzbükü is directly above where a dirt road comes in from the left and the path starts 300m up this side dirt road at a cairn. 5min.  Karain is 300m further still up this side dirt road, starting at another cairn by a red and white trail marker. 5min.  Sucuk is another 1.3km up the main dirt road, by a left bend and blue bee hives.  You can't see Sucuk from the dirt road but a good path contours round. 5min. Balik is the sector you can see opposite Sucuk.
