To find the start of the route enter the quarry then walk anti-clockwise around the lake,80 metres before the edge starts to turn south you will see a spreading tree, on the lake side of its trunk is a yellow No Waiting sign.The top of the route is 3 metres to the east of this tree.Start from the plynth at the base of the climb, reached by boat, swimming or abseil. Ascend the black slab following the pegs to the oak sapling, pass this on the right then bear right to surmount the grass cornice.Apart from the oak sapling there is no natural gear on this route, however the 5 pegs are well placed and should be adequate.
