A fantastic crag with a small but brilliant selection of routes in the extremes. It gets morning shade and late afternoon and evening sun. The rock is generally excellent but can get dirty quickly if the routes arent climbed regularly. The bonus is it does dry quiet quickly during a warm period, so a quick abseil and a brush is often all the routes need. The roof crack of Colbalt Dream is often sufficiently clean for any aspirint onsighters.
From Gwern Gof Isaf, follow a faint path running parallel to Braich y Ddeugwm on its south side in Cwm Gwern Gof. Pass over the ridge reasonably high in the cwm just above the 650m mark at a flattening, which leads shortly round to the crag (45 minutes).
From Gwern Gof Uchaf, follow the good path south which leads up into Cwm Tryfan. Follow the path and the Nant Gwern y Gof for a few hundred metres then follow your nose to avoid the boggy ground heading roughtly South West towards the crag with its obvious large capping roof. A final steep drag (50m alt) leads up to the base of the crag (1hr).
