A multi-faceted mountain of Torridonian sandstone. A few worthwhile summer routes have been recorded but it is in winter that the cliffs offer the best climbing.
The lower southeast nose and northeast cliff mainly provide mountaineering outings in the lower grades. Mainreachan Buttress has hard mixed climbing and a few routes that also require ice. The southeast cliff has high quality ice climbs which require careful monitoring of the weather to catch them in condition.
