A selection of crags at the base of the Peña Maria peak. There are low steep walls with fierce fingery routes and longer and multi-pitch climbs. Most of the sectors are north facing with one small sector facing south on the other side of the river. It looks like some more development is happening on crags on the south side of the valley.
At the entrance to the village of Gestalgar turn left (right after the cemetery on the left) and follow the road over a long bridge towards a small industrial estate. Once in the industrial estate take the first right, signposted to Fuente Peña Maria. Follow this good gravel road along the river and then cross via a narrow bridge. Follow the track left, passing a waterfall, to a large open parking area.
The car park beyond the final bridge is closed to vehicles in the months of July and August so you need to park further back along the road. Camping is prohibited but there were people camping in vans.
