This crag is one of the most popular on the island. Originally developed by the Royal Marines starting in the 1940s it offers a number of classic trad routes such as Twin Caves Pillar, Snowman and Commando Ratlines. This crag features easier angled buttresses on solid if sharp rock, interspersed with caves which offer harder overhanging sports routes such as the classic 8a testpiece, The Crossing.
Ghar Lapsi is signposted from Siggiewi. Park at the restaurants at the end of the road. The first of the caves are visible up on the hillside (Twin Caves Area). The furthest climbs are no more than 15 mins walk.
