βeta: Description for pitch 3 was vague and inaccurate, description of crack was poor and the grading is well off, this was a 5b section.

BTphonehome 27 Oct, 2017 AltLd O/S Good route on a stunning day in Langdale. Found the mantel tough as usual and resorted to combined knee/bellyflop tactics hoping Tony was still out of view. He wasn't. Stiff couple of pulls on P3. Great day.

tmawer 27 Oct, 2017 AltLd O/S Very good direct climb and apart from the mantleshelf didn't feel particularly eliminate. Quite tough at Hvs.

Busby 17 Sep, 2017 Lead O/S Led P 2, exit of P3 was poorly described and the move, up a rightwards trending crack, was more like 5b, good gear but a ball ache to place on lead.

oliverk 20 Aug, 2017 AltLd dnf Did first two 5a pitches, move over nose on P2 would be hard if under 6ft. Crack on p3 was wet and felt like 5b. Finished up B route ish

harold walmsley u 16 May, 2014 AltLd O/S Hard for the given tech grades. We thought it best to split P2 at the ledge by Amen Corner. Otherwise, coming off the hard mantelshelf just above this with 30 m of rope out and out of sight of the belayer would certainly mean hitting the ledge even with an overhead runner. P3 is no pushover at 4c!
