This beautiful beach and canyon are located in southern part of Albania near the well-known beaches of Dhermi and Jale. Gjipe is accessible via four wheel drive vehicle, boat, or a 30 minute hike. This is an amazing area with beautiful routes climbing the walls of the secluded canyon or snaking up the short cliffs next to the sea.
The routes range in difficulty from 5b – 8b. Currently there are 30 to 40 bolted routes with the potential for much more. Most of the routes are single pitch but there are a number of 2 or 3 pitch routes as well. This is still a relatively new area so please be careful of loose rocks.
For more detailed information about routes please contact Tirana Rock Climbing Gym.

***BE AWARE of corroded bolts at some sectors and also some lower off anchors with corroded snapgates/mailons all of which tend to be on lower bolt. Top anchor bolt is usually connected to bottom bolt by extremely worn/damaged/uv damaged rope. Would be advisable to bring spare tat/mailons for some lower offs.
