A wild and fairly remote group of good boulders high on the South Pennine moors above the Upper Gorple Reservoir. South-facing and quick drying but very exposed. If you pick a clear sunny day you will spend half your time staring at the view. Good quality problems on rough rock although some of the landings require care.
Park at Widdop car park and follow Gorple Stones Bridleway up onto Shuttleworth Moor. Eventually a fingerpost is reached. Gorple Stones can be seen 300m further up the track.
Approach time: 35 mins
