A steep lower wall gives some hard technical climbing. Start at a left-leading slab. Take the slab to below a crack-line which bends to the right. Climb this with some tough pulls to join and finish up Scabby Horse. © Rockfax
UKC Logbook Description
Awarded E1 5b in new guide, previously HVS 5a.
A notoriously strenuous and awkward route, especially when graded HVS.
Walk along the leftwards rising slab to its far end. Climb the steep crack to the downward pointing bulge that blocks progress. Teeter rightwards around the bulge into a scoop and then ascend to join Scabby Horse. Finish as for Scabby Horse.
B Rogers, W Day 1976.
